Hi Andy:
I am glad we could help you with this problem.
Recovering a corrupted memo file is more difficult. First, does the memo
file, the SCT file, exist and is it in the same folder as the SCX? If so,
try issuing the COMPILE FORM <form_name> again to see if this helps. If it
does not, then I would look at getting a third-party table and memo repair
utility. Some are listed in these articles:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=87688
189458 INFO: Third Party Utility Repairs FoxPro Record and Memo Data

Also, there is a tool called ATFixDbfFpt 1.6 available from the Download
section (Visual FoxPro product) on www.universalthread.com. The download
ID is 9930. I have never used this tool, but you might want to try it on a
back copy of your files.
Also, you might consider simply recreating the form from scratch. Unless
the form is very complex, this might be the more efficient use of your
time. And remember, once you get a functioning form, you need to make
frequent backups so your investment in time is protected in the future.
I hope this helps.

Post by andyDear All,
First thanks to Lionel, Lee Mitchell, Rush Strong, for
your friendly help and prompt reply. Your advices did
work, I can open the scx file, after I deleted and packed
the problem record, another message appeared as
follow; 'Memo file c:\xxx\xxx.sct is missing or is
invalid' and the xxx.sct file does exist. Please let me
know how to rebuild the damaged memo file. Thanks again.
